There are two types of reporting. We can refer to them as instant or scheduled.

Instant report allows users to generate a PDF of a dashboard or report immediately. This can be done from the dashboard itself or from the Reports section.

Scheduled reporting occurs when users configure a dashboard or report to be saved as a file (PDF or XLSX) and emailed to a selected set of recipients at a set time every day or week.

In the Reports section, we can generate reports from existing dashboards that are visible from the front end, or we can use Report dashboards, which are only accessed via the Reports section or via drill-down links from certain widgets.

The Report dashboards can be created when creating a new dashboard by setting the Dashboard Type to be Report from the Dashboard Manager page or from the Report Configuration page.
